We are looking for a Strategic Communications Consultant and highly collaborative teammate who brings extensive communications experience, a unique perspective, and new ideas to join our team supporting key accounts. Please contact Megan Honour at if you are interested in this position.


  • Support key client accounts in daily activities while contributing to the various contracting processes, account requirements, client management, business development, and other client and company functions as specified by supervisors.
  • Understand key client information including environment, strategy, deliverables, and services, branding, competitors, etc.
  • Develop strategic communications approaches, plans, processes, deliverables, templates, and tools for a variety of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of Organizational Change Management and IT and Business Transformation concepts related to strategic communications.
  • Serve as day-to-day communications representative to client teams and manage and execute strategic communications plans.
  • Conduct research, outline, write, edit and proofread materials, and assist with research including industry trends and innovations.
  • Event planning and execution, both virtual and in-person for audiences of 20-500.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of social media platforms and their proper use including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter.
  • Exhibit and utilize exceptional communication and organizational skills in supporting multiple accounts and tight timelines.
  • Demonstrate AWL values in every interaction: honesty, humor, inclusion, service, goodness, and tenacity.


  • Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience required in management consulting, federal consulting, strategic communications, project management/ support, and/or organizational change.
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated effective use of PowerPoint, Excel, Office365, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint are required.
  • Candidates should demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to work effectively with a variety of team members, partners, clients, etc.
  • Experience engaging with C-Suite executives on a variety of strategic communications campaigns and programs.
  • Outstanding writing and overall communication skills. Applicants will be asked to provide a writing sample.
  • Strong work ethic and dedication to consistently provide quality work to their team and clients, ability to multitask with strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
  • The ability to apply for and receive a Public Trust Clearance (fingerprinting and background check required)
  • In-process, current, or recently active Public Trust Clearance and/ or Federal Agency background clearance is a plus.
