Stratacomm is currently seeking a well-rounded, self-motivated, organized account executive to join our team and work collaboratively with the agency’s internal account, strategy/research, creative, media and digital departments on a large, national brand. This opportunity is for a passionate communications professional with a minimum of 2 years of experience. Due to the pandemic, the position is primarily remote. Candidates must reside in either the DC or Detroit metro areas.

You’re an excellent communicator who has experience managing projects independently and the ability to juggle multiple client projects and deadlines simultaneously. You have strong writing and project management skills and have worked in an agency setting. You are a self-starter and resourceful problem solver with a strong desire and ability to contribute to Stratacomm’s growth. You enjoy a fast-paced work environment, are attentive to detail, and have a passion for taking on new challenges and delivering results for clients. You’ve gotten your feet wet in the industry and are hungry to learn and grow at an integrated communications agency.


  • Serve as a day-to-day internal project management support for the account service team, including:
    • Create large integrated campaign and project-specific timelines and assign roles, as well as track/monitor and update regularly as needed
    • Track deliverables through a defined QA/QC process
    • Draft weekly status reports
    • Manage digital file repository/record-keeping
    • Develop meeting notes
  • Write news releases, media advisories, media pitches, fact sheets, talking points, agendas and email correspondence.
  • Coordinate supplemental earned media tactics, including radio media tour (RMT)/satellite media tour (SMT) logistics, bites and b-roll (BBR) package development and distribution, and wrap-up reports.
  • Work closely with the Director of Project Management to coordinate with our in-house strategy/research, creative and digital teams and partnering agencies to develop social media graphics, social media messages, banner ads, radio ads and video/TV ads.
    • Participate in internal and client-facing creative reviews, and organize client and account service inputs and share feedback
    • Ensure creative presentations are formatted/finalized and error-free
    • Assist with coordinating client logistics for concept testing/focus groups
    • Assist with coordinating travel logistics for video/TV productions and compiling pre-production books with production team
    • Oversee layout and resizing/animation of final assets once concepts and/or copy manuscripts are approved through client delivery
    • Assist with final asset archiving
  • Work closely with account service team and media team to assist with paid media trafficking.
    • Oversee layout of media plans once strategy/copy manuscripts are approved through client delivery
    • Draft supporting media document alt text (508-compliance)
    • Draft paid media custom content intake forms/brand guidelines and create/manage custom content timelines
    • Research/vet paid media influencers and provide client recommendations
    • Review custom unit build outs and recordings against approved concepts and scripts
  • Demonstrate ability to understand and distill complex topics into compelling messages for target audiences and ability to extract insights and summarize data.
  • Work with senior team members to develop creative briefs and/or other creative strategy documents.
  • Demonstrate understanding of various research methods; coordinate internal resources in implementing research projects.
  • Assist with press events and conference planning for clients, including:
    • Research and manage venue/vendor and travel logistics and event registration
    • Provide speaker support, including developing presentations and drafting talking points
    • Coordinate supporting materials development
    • Provide on-site staffing, as needed
    • Develop wrap-up reports

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience (internship experience is applicable)
  • Highly organized team player with effective time management and prioritization skills
  • High attention to detail with ability to juggle multiple tasks
  • Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • Superior verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong writing skills with knowledge of proper grammar and AP Style writing
  • Media relations experience and basic knowledge of the suite of earned media tactics and monitoring tools
  • Previous experience with event management or paid media campaigns is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of popular social media networks and digital and social analytics tools, including Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Twitter Ads and social listening tools (e.g., Talkwalker)
  • Basic knowledge of popular project management tools is a plus (e.g., Asana)
  • Creative thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
