Washington Women in Public Relations (WWPR) is a vital resource for Metro DC communications professionals. As a member, you can attend many of our events free or at the member discount rate and access the member-only areas of the website to view the member directory and archived newsletters. Members have the opportunity for leadership within the organization.
Networking. Our members are wonderful resources. For years, WWPR members have helped one another find new career opportunities, partners for collaborative projects and mentors. WWPR members develop lasting friendships and business relationships.
Professional Development Opportunities. WWPR offers brown bag luncheons – which are free to members and more formal luncheons as well as an annual holiday party.

Newsletter. Our monthly newsletter is packed with relevant and timely information for DC PR/communications practitioners. It includes information about our professional development events to keep you up-to-date on the most recent public relations topics; member spotlights; and local PR and communications job listings. We also provide a calendar of upcoming professional development and networking events, from WWPR and other area organizations.
Website. Members have access to member-only areas of the website to view the member directory and read archived issues of our newsletter.
Giving Back. Every two years, WWPR works with a local nonprofit client on a pro bono basis, offering members a meaningful opportunity to use professional skills for a good cause. WWPR provides pro bono services including marketing and communications, media relations, branding, and public relations expertise.
