We Asked. You Told Us. End-of-2025 WWPR Member Insights

Feb 9, 2026 | Membership, News & Updates

At the end of 2025, Washington Women in Public Relations invited members to share feedback through our annual membership survey. About 20% of our membership participated, a strong response rate for a non-incentivized survey. The results provide clear guidance as we plan programming and engagement moving into the year ahead.

Below are the key insights shaping WWPR’s priorities.

1. A Deep Bench of Experience

  • 87% of respondents have more than 10 years of experience in communications
  • 40% report 21+ years in the field

What this tells us: Our community is highly experienced and values strategic, senior-level conversations.

2. Balanced In-House and Agency Representation

  • Respondents are nearly evenly split between in-house roles and agency or consultancy work

What this tells us: Programming should reflect multiple professional realities and work across sectors.

3. Event Attendance Is Intentional

  • Most respondents attend a few WWPR events per year

What this tells us: Lighter-lift, high-impact programming can help deepen engagement without increasing burden.

4. Hybrid Programming Is Essential

  • Hybrid events are preferred over in-person-only formats

What this tells us: Hybrid access supports inclusion, flexibility, and sustained participation.

5. Clear Content Priorities

Top areas of interest include:

  • Career growth and leadership
  • AI and communications
  • Personal branding and thought leadership

What this tells us: Members are navigating change and want programming that reflects current and emerging realities.

6. Mentorship and Senior-Level Opportunities Are Needed

  • Open-ended feedback highlighted demand for mentorship
  • Members also want more programming designed for senior practitioners

What this tells us: There is an unmet need for structured knowledge-sharing and executive-level engagement.

7. Strong Interest in Volunteering

  • More than half of the respondents asked to be contacted about 2026 volunteer opportunities

What this tells us: Clear onboarding and activation pathways are critical to harness this momentum.

8. High Satisfaction With Opportunity to Grow

  • Most respondents reported being very or somewhat satisfied with WWPR
  • Only one respondent expressed dissatisfaction

What this tells us: The foundation is strong, and thoughtful evolution will support retention and re-engagement.

Thank you to every member who shared feedback at the end of 2025. These insights are already shaping how WWPR approaches programming, events, and engagement moving forward. We remain committed to building alongside our members.
