We’ve had a busy and fun year with WWPR! It sure went fast.

As I reflect on the last year, I’m really proud of how we have embraced the #WomanUp theme to be bold, courageous, and persevere through challenges in both work and life. I’ve seen our members and fellow women communications professionals excel, win awards, and break barriers. We have truly achieved a lot! While there always seems to be more to do, we can celebrate many achievements and know that our energy has been well spent.

WWPR had many terrific Professional Development events this year–including panels, networking, mentoring, media roundtable, and more. We had a fabulous time celebrating the Emerging Leaders Awards and honoring rising professionals. And it culminated in the Woman of the Year Award luncheon where we heard from and recognized top leaders in the industry.

Lastly, we raised $1,300 from the Woman of the Year raffle for our pro bono client Bright Beginnings, Inc. It has been a huge pleasure to work with them the last several years. While we will miss them, we are completing a search for our next pro bono client and look forward to making that announcement in January.

We hope that you have a moment to reflect on your professional and personal journey from this year, and to contemplate your goals for 2018. Whatever may be your focus, WWPR will be here to support in your personal and professional development. We look forward to seeing you again in the new year!

Best,
